Tune in to watch the best players in professional Golf battle for the esteemed “Green Jacket” and one of the most prestigious trophies in Golf at the first Major Championship of 2022.
Defending Masters 2021 champion Hideki Matsuyama, will choose the menu and host the Champions Dinner for all past winners of the Masters on the Tuesday night of tournament week. Confirmed to be joining Matsuyama on the course in Augusta this year, are the best players in professional golf today including Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and the runner-up last year in his Masters debut, Will Zalatoris. The most notable question this year circles around the speculation of the return of Tiger Woods for a Masters comeback, Tiger is rumored to be in Augusta for a practice round and his name remains on the list of possible players in the 2022 tournament. Notably missing from the Masters field this year, is 3-time champion Phil Mickelson, who has played in the last 27 Masters tournaments, but has “decided to step away from golf for a while”.
ESPN and CBS will split the broadcast schedule from Augusta National Golf Course in 2022, with ESPN covering the Thursday and Friday events and CBS broadcasting coverage from the Masters on Saturday and Sunday.
