Paris 2024 Summer Olympics on BroadStarTV
The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics are set to begin on July 26th with the opening ceremony airing at Primetime at 7:30pm ET in the U.S. on NBC, full coverage of all the Olympic events will air across NBC’s Networks and digital platforms including NBCSports.com and Peacock. The opening ceremony of the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad from Paris can also be viewed live from Paris on NBC Daytime at 1:30pm ET to include a star-studded cast of performers and a parade of athletes in boats on the River Seine to include spectacular views of Parisian landmarks. The 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympic Games share the same slogan “Games Wide Open” and promise new experiences from the opening ceremony to outdoor competitions from the heart of Paris.
On top of the coverage offered on NBC Networks and digital platforms, BroadStarTV is running Olympic coverage for free on 2 channels:
- Channel 152 – OLYX1 – Airs July 27 – Aug 9, primarily team sports including, but not limited to, handball, water polo, field hockey, and volleyball.
- Channel 153 – OLYX2 – Airs July 27 – Aug 10, primarily combat and racquet sports including, but not limited to, judo, taekwondo, boxing, badminton, table tennis, sport climbing, shooting, weightlifting, and canoeing.
U.S. athletes expected to represent the 2024 Olympic Team include superstar gymnast Simone Biles competing for the third time at the Olympics following her 7 medal wins at Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020. Basketball icon LeBron James and tennis star Coco Gauff will represent Team USA as flag bearers at the Parade of Athletes and will compete with over 590 athletes in dozens of athletic events in the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
