The PGA Championship returns to May in 2021
The 2021 Golf Season is heating up as the second major of the year returns to its traditional date in May after the 2020 major calendar was completely changed due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. The 2021 PGA Championship returns to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island in South Carolina on Monday May 17th, 2021, promising excellent views with the most seaside holes in North America. PGA officials are planning to limit the number of spectators to 10,000 per day, but don’t be surprised to see more people in 2021, as increasing numbers of spectators are returning to golf tournaments and restrictions around the U.S. are lifting.
Among the top golfers predicted by oddsmakers to win the Wanamaker Trophy in 2021 include Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele, Tony Finau, Hideki Matsuyama & Patrick Reed. Rory McIlroy also makes it on the list of favorites this year, because he won this tournament by a record margin of 8 shots at the Ocean Course in 2012.
