New Year's Eve Specials on TV 2021
If you’re planning on ringing in the New Year from home this year, several networks will be airing their New Year’s Specials to entertain you and your guests late into the night as we countdown to 2022. This year will mark the 50th Anniversary of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, the annual New Year’s event from New York City’s Times Square now titled Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest is back hosting this New Year’s Eve favorite on ABC starting at 8:00 pm, featuring the iconic ball drop in Times Square at midnight and running all the way through until 2:00 am ET on January 1, 2022. This year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will also feature a first-ever Spanish language countdown live from Puerto Rico with Seacrest’s co-host Roselyn Sanchez.
This year NBC presents Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party: Hosted By Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson live from Miami starting at 10:30 pm ET on New Year’s Eve, produced by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, the Network special promises musical performances and a star-studded lineup of special guest appearances. Fox’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2022 hosted by Ken Jeong and Joel McHale airs live on Friday, December 31st, beginning at 8 p.m. ET, and features pre-taped performances from Maroon 5, Pink, Imagine Dragons, Billy Idol, and more. CBS is offering up New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash featuring some of the biggest names in Country Music, Live from Nashville on December 31st starting at 8 p.m. ET, promising a line-up of live music and appearances from Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and more.
